Thanks to the following folks, who have donated of themselves, their time, money or love and attention.
My first shout-out has to go to Bessie and her family - They have without a doubt contributed the most. The following guys: Barbara, Sgt Porky and Patrick deserve an honourable mention as well. Thanks, I really love you all!
SpiceGirl: My trusty, albeit slightly reluctant at times, sidekick. Dankie Babes!
and last but not the least: of course my trusty staff at Bucky Systems , Kasteel Guest House & iHound for making them the successes they've been over the last couple of years, and therefore making sure I have enough money to actually pay for all this meat, wood/charcoal and booze etc. that it takes to braai every day :-)... thanks guys, you're the best!
Sponsors:
A couple of people have been kind enough to make a donation. Please help me show them some gratitude by visiting their respective sites and/or buying their products if you see them in the shops.
Zippy Braai (www.ZippyBraai.co.za): Mada over at Zippy Braai donates a couple of their Zippy Braai Boxes to me every month. They also gave me a really cool set of braai tongs.
GoodFellas (www.gfellas.co.za): With the amount of braaing (and with that drinking) that I'm doing lately, I think these guys have come to me as if sent by a Guardian Angel. I think everyone that enjoys to party as much as I do needs to sign up with them... Whenever you've had too much to drink: You give them a call, and they send someone out to take you home... how cool is that?
Ignite (www.IgniteProducts.co.za): I've been chatting to Bernd on FaceBook and email etc. for as long as I can remember... we just never found ourselves in the same place at the same time. This all changed recently, and now I've got a "connection" in the charcoal game. What's really cool is that you can even order their stuff online.
Grid-Grabber: Definitely ranking up there as one of the coolest braai toys I've come across. Willie doesn't have a web-site or anything yet, but check out the Grid-Grabber so long, and if you're interested in getting yourself one, drop me a mail and I'll ask him to get in touch with you.
Deli Spices (www.DeliSpices.co.za): Deli Spices, the guys that bring you the famous KameelDooring borewors, invitied me over to their warehouse & factory for a bit of a tours, and afterwards surprised me with an awesome hamper and samples of 8 of their boerewors products. I'm working through everything right now, and will publish my findings shortly. P.S. So far I'm really impressed :-)
Namibian Hardwood (www.NamibianHardwood.co.za): I had the pleasure of meeting Matthew over a beer or two the other day, and the end result is that my hardwood woes are now a thing of the past.
Dames & Here Productions (www.DamesHere.co.za): These are guys that are responsible for bringing you all the awesome Braaingterviews. If you're looking for Music Videos, Events, Festivals or TV production... you know who to talk to.
Want to become a friend to Braaiboy?
I didn't start this thing to cash-in, I started it to have fun. Having said that, Braaiing every day can get a bit pricey, so I'll appreciate any assistance I can get. So, if you or your company or product are related to the braai industry in anyway, please feel free to contact me and we can chat about sponsorship in some way or other. There are just 2 simple rules to keep in mind though:
1) You can't pay me to "endorse" your product... if it's a kak product, I'm gonna say so.
2) Your company and/or product must somehow be braai-related. This site is not about making money endorsing the latest electronic toy or claiming "BraaiBoy uses Company X for Product Y". It's simple: Your product must somehow be related to braaing to be featured on this page... I might stretch the interpretation of this rule if you work for Ferrari though: I need to get between braais somehow - so, there's the link :-)
